成語故事工作篇:忠言逆耳
公元前207年,劉邦率大軍到咸陽後,進入秦宮探看。但見宮室華麗,各處寶物不計其數,都是他從未見過的。每到一處,許多美麗的宮人向他跪拜。劉邦越看越感到新奇,興味也越來越濃。於是,他打算就住在宮內享受一番。
劉邦的部將樊噲發現劉邦要住在宮中,問他說:「沛公是想有天下呢,還是只想當一個大富翁?」
劉邦回答說:「我當然想擁有天下。」
樊噲真誠的說:「你進入秦宮裡,見到裡面的珍奇財寶不可勝數,後宮中美人數以千計,這些都是導致秦朝滅亡的東西啊。望沛公迅速返回霸上,千萬不要留在宮中。」
劉邦對樊噲的勸諫不以為然,還是準備住在宮中。謀士張良知道這件事後,對劉邦說:「秦王無道,百姓造反,打敗了秦軍,沛公才能來到這裡。您為天下除掉害民的暴君,理應克勤克儉。如今剛入秦地就想享受。俗語說:『忠誠正直的勸告往往不順耳,但有利於行為;含毒的藥吃的時候很苦,但有利於治病。』望沛公聽從樊噲的忠告。」
劉邦聽了,終於醒悟過來,馬上下令將庫府封起來,關掉宮門,率軍返回霸上。
此典故出自於《史記·留侯世家》:且「忠言逆耳利於行,毒(良)藥苦口利於病」,願沛公聽樊噲言。
